This course is based on the best-selling self-help book Mindfulness: a practical guide to finding peace in a frantic world by Professor Mark Williams and Danny Penman. Many people find that having read the book, additional guidance from a trained instructor, the momentum and motivation that comes from attending weekly sessions, and the support from other group members makes it easier to establish the practices and habits of the mindful way of life set out in the book.
Cost: £110 (concessions available) covers eight weekly 1 hour and 30 minute sessions, where you will learn simple meditations to settle and focus the mind, and practices in meditation and daily life which help break the habits and patterns of thought which can make life difficult. By recognising and working with these negative thinking patterns we can live more fully and become more resilient to whatever life brings.
Note that participants will need to buy their own copy of the book, audiobook or e-book before the course begins.
